Inland Rail is a 1600km freight rail line that will connect Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Comprising of 12 sections, Inland Rail involves upgrades or enhancement works to approximately 1000km of existing track and construction of 600km of new track passing through regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.  

Bellgrove Advisory personnel worked as part of the team leading program planning approvals.  Our personnel have also provided external strategic advisory support to the project.

  • Third party interface and project management.

  • Project definition and strategic delivery advisory.

Key services our personnel provided:

  • Provision of strategic and operational leadership to secure planning approvals to enable construction.

  • Identified and managed strategic and technical issues related to environmental planning and primary approvals.

  • Effectively managed relationships with senior government stakeholders and regulatory agencies to achieve primary approvals including in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and federally.

  • Assisted with the assessment of the project’s response to the Independent Review on Inland Rail, in particular Recommendation 14.
